I do wonder about this because, yes Larson is definitely way more successful than Dorland (and people are definitely being judgmental about that), but it's unclear whether Larson made much money from her story. In terms of their financial situations, I'm not sure how to unearth that.

And I wasn't trying to be unbiased! I mean, the NYT article was heavily biased against Dorland, so it's rather hard to be level headed about the story. I think your point about race is reasonable too, I just find it hard to ignore the racial dynamics.
